Here to help people one step at a time

Counselling is an effective tool to help support with stress, low mood, anxiety and depression.  It can also be used for relationship problems, family issues, bereavement, work-related issues, difficult life events and more.

Being able to speak to an impartial and independent counsellor can help give a different point of view and think about things in a different way.  Talking about issues is good for your mental health and overall wellbeing.

My approach to Counselling

I offer professional, confidential counselling in a safe and supportive environment that is affordable and bespoke.  I move alongside you at your own pace to help you to develop, grow and flourish.

I have a Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and my approach is integrative thus recognising that every individual is unique and may need a different approach and I can tailor the therapy to what suits you best.

I work primarily using a person-centred approach working ethically and empathically, with compassion and respect.

I  am not here to fix anything but to partner with you and to support you on your journey towards self-awareness and self- development, thus helping you to be the best possible version of you.

I work 1:1 from my therapy room in the LU2 area of Luton but do offer Zoom and telephone sessions.

Common  Questions

What is Counselling?

Counselling is a talking therapy that involves a trained therapist listening to you and helping you to find ways to deal with any emotional issues that you may be experiencing such as mental health issues, anxiety, depression, eating disorders and relationship issues, bereavement or any difficult life events.  There are many types of therapy used based on the presenting needs of the individual.

What is Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy that uses the power of suggestion to encourage positive change. A hypnotherapist will use relaxation techniques to help you reach a state where the conscious part of your mind is relaxed and your subconscious part is more open to suggestion. They will then use suggestive techniques (where they ‘talk’ to your subconscious) to help encourage the change you’re looking for.

The purpose of hypnotherapy is to help you to understand and manage your physchological, physical and emotional behaviour with a goal of bringing about positive changes through the use of suggestions whilst in hypnosis.

Hypnotherapy can help you to break habits that are affecting your lives and also overcome phobias and fears. I aim to focus on each client’s individual needs to maximise results.

How many sessions?

We are all unique individuals as are the issues we are facing and therefore it is difficult to put a time to how long it may take before you start to feel able to continue without support.  However, this is determined by yourself and you may have a couple of sessions and feel better and able to cope or it may take longer, together we can decide what is best for your own holistic journey.

How much does it cost?

My fees are £45 per 50 minute to an hour session for individual Counselling.  Couples counselling is £60 for a 50 minute to an hour session.

Cancellation with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur the full cost of the session.  (with some exceptions).

I do offer concessions – please ask when enquiring.
